Sources told the celebrity news Web site that the rapper -- whose real name is Jayceon Taylor -- was to be booked on charges of making criminal threats.

Citing published reports, KNBC-TV Los Angeles said Taylor was arrested in New York in November on suspicion of telling a cab driver he was an undercover officer, and then getting the driver to run red lights.

The multiplatinum-selling rap star was formerly a part of 50 Cent's G Unit group.
