NEW YORK, May 12 (UPI) -- The series finale of "7th Heaven" is full of twists and turns designed by series creator and writer Barbara Hampton, The New York Daily News reported.
In Sunday's episode -- wrapping up the series' 11-year run -- the Rev. Eric Camden, played by Stephen Collins, is miraculously cured of his heart condition, the newspaper said.
Although many of the CW network show's characters fly the coop, the drama ends on an upbeat note, the newspaper said.
The show began on the now defunct WB network in 1996 -- and actually had a series finale before the CW picked it up for an additional season. The CW was formed when the WB and UPN merged.
Hampton's second series finale reportedly has the Camden family packing into a massive recreational vehicle and leaving hometown Glenoak behind -- along with the Rev. Camden's church, the News said.
