'Makes Me Wonder' still a wonder at No. 1

NEW YORK, May 10 (UPI) -- Maroon 5's "Makes Me Wonder," which blew into the No. 1 slot last week, remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart of U.S. singles sales.

Moving into the No. 2 position, up from No. 5, was Ne-Yo's "Because of You."

T-Pain's "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" bumped up one notch, from No. 4 to No. 3.

Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" slipped from No. 2 to No. 4, while Timbaland's "Give It to Me" featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake fell from No. 3 to No. 5.

Holding on to the No. 6 and No. 7 spots, respectively, were Carrie Underwood's "I'll Stand by You" and Fergie's "Glamorous" featuring Ludacris.

Akon occupied the last three spots on his own and as a guest artist with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Gwen Stefani. Akon's "Don't Matter" inched up from No. 9 to No. 8. At No. 9, up from No. 11, was Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on "I Tried." Rounding out the top spots was Stefani's "The Sweet Escape," which retained its No. 10 spot.
