HOLLYWOOD, May 10 (UPI) -- LaKisha Jones ended her "American Idol" run by singing "Stayin' Alive," belting it on the Hollywood stage and in the audience after being eliminated.

The week's competition to whittle four "Idol" wannabes to three was rough on the contestants who sang Bee Gee tunes under the mentorship of Barry Gibb, E! News reported Wednesday.

Blake Lewis moved on, even though judge Simon Cowell called one of his selections Tuesday a "bizarre choice of song."

Also making it through the competition were Melinda Doolittle and Jordin Sparks, each of whom put in at least one great performance on a pair of BeeGees hits.

Next week, the final three will be pressed to perform three tunes -- one song of their choosing, one selected by the judges and a third chosen by Arista founder Clive Davis.
