Ty Pennington charged in DUI arrest

LOS ANGELES, May 9 (UPI) -- "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" star Ty Pennington was charged Wednesday with two misdemeanor DUI counts from his weekend arrest in Los Angeles.

Pennington reportedly had a 0.14 blood alcohol level when he was pulled over by police early Saturday in Los Angeles, TMZ.com reported. The legal limit in California is 0.08.

Pennington has apologized to his fans and to ABC Television, which airs "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," saying he was sorry for the "embarrassment" he's caused.
