LOS ANGELES, May 4 (UPI) -- A judge in Los Angeles Friday sentenced hotel heiress Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail for violating her probation in a reckless driving case.
Hilton cried as she told Judge Michael T. Sauer, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," minutes before the judge imposed the sentence, TMZ.com reported.
Witnesses inside the courtroom told the Web site Hilton's parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the judge ordered their daughter to begin serving her sentence June 5 at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif.
Sauer said Hilton would not be allowed work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, TMZ.com said.
Hilton could have been sentenced to 90 days for violating her probation by driving with a suspended license in February.
