Wearing a dress, a fedora and red high heels, Johansson jumped on stage three-quarters through the bands set.

Singer Jim Reid did not reveal who their special guest was until she got on stage, but hugged her at the end of the song.

Johansson is the only actress that has been seen on stage so far at Coachella, but dozens of celebrities have been spotted in the crowd, including Danny DeVito, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.

The annual event will have attracted nearly 100,000 people when it wraps up Sunday night.
