LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- After serving three months in the Los Angeles County Jail for violating probation, Joey Buttafuoco is a free man.

Following his release, Buttafuoco revealed he lost 45 pounds during his incarceration, Entertainment Tonight reported Sunday.

Buttafuoco, of course ,was made famous when his real life spawned three TV movies.

In 1992, Amy Fisher, Buttafuoco's underage girlfriend who became known as the "Long Island Lolita," shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head and also exposed her illicit affair.

Mary Jo Buttafuoco survived and Fisher was sent to prison for her crime. Joey Buttafuoco was imprisoned for having sex with a minor and then was sentenced to a one-year sentence for probation violation.

He has reportedly been very sick during his latest stay in jail, ET reported.

"I do not want to die in Men's Central Jail," he said. "I'm prepared to die some day, but I do not want to die here."
