LOS ANGELES, April 28 (UPI) -- MTV's president of entertainment and programming, Lois Curren, reportedly will "scale back responsibilities" just months after being promoted in Los Angeles.

"Lois has decided to scale back responsibilities for personal reasons, transferring key administrative duties while continuing to focus on a wide variety of creative projects, including series like 'Room 401,' the untitled Menudo project and 'The Kentucky Kid,' and the roster of pilots already in development," said an MTV spokeswoman.

Curren recently was promoted from executive vice president of series entertainment, but sources say she has resigned from her new post as president but will keep her title, said the Hollywood reporter Saturday.

MTV's Tony DiSanto, executive vice president of series development and animation and head of programming at MTV2, will reportedly step in and pick up Curren's slack.

Curren's official duties include overseeing development, program planning, production and scheduling at MTV.
