CHICAGO, April 24 (UPI) -- Chicago firefighters blamed an old ventilator unit for a fire on the set of "The Dark Knight," the latest Batman installment.
First District Fire Chief Jose Santiago said security personnel with the film crew noticed the smoke and called the Fire Department shortly before noon Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune said. Sprinklers already were activated and firefighters were able to contain the fire to the ventilator unit.
No injuries were reported. The building is empty, except on the first floor, where the movie crews were set up for a week's worth of shooting.
