Bon Jovi's concert at O2 sells out fast

LONDON, April 21 (UPI) -- Tickets for U.S. rockers Bon Jovi, the first act to play London's new O2 arena, sold out in less than 30 minutes, organizers say.

Tickets for the June 24 concert reportedly went so fast because it is the only British show booked for the New Jersey rock icons in 2007, the BBC reported.

Bon Jovi has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame last year.

The band's 10th studio album, "Lost Highway," is due out in June.

Also coming to London's O2 arena are Justin Timberlake, Scissor Sisters and the Rolling Stones.

The owners of the arena said the acoustics have been designed for modern musicians and every seat has a clear view, the BBC said. It has been chosen as the venue for gymnastics and basketball for the 2012 Olympic Games.
