HOLLYWOOD, April 18 (UPI) -- Lisa Rinna, late of "Dancing With The Stars" fame, waltzed past TV Guide Channel's Joan and Melissa Rivers as the new queen of the red carpet in Hollywood.

The network said Rinna will step on the red carpet beginning with the Emmy presentations in September, USA Today said. She replaces the long-time mother-daughter Rivers team whose contract was not renewed last month.

TV Guide Channel President Ryan O'Hara said the network decided to "go in a different direction" and there are no hard feelings. Joan Rivers didn't sound as positive, though, saying in a statement, "I will tell you my true feelings and experiences as soon as we finalize our new deal."

O'Hara said the channel reviewed tapes of Rinna's red carpet commentary last year for "Access Hollywood" and on "Entertainment Tonight," where she interviewed celebrities.
