LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- Standup comic David Chappelle kept the jokes coming nonstop at the Laugh Factory for six hours and seven minutes, a record at the Los Angeles comedy club.

Chappelle's unannounced Sunday night-Monday morning gig broke the club record set April 10 by Dane Cook, whose act lasted three hours and 50 minutes, Variety reported. Previously, the longest performance had been two hours and 40 minutes by Richard Pryor in 1980.

"It was just one of those nights," Laugh Factory founder Jamie Masada said of Chappelle's appearance, which covered topics ranging from President Bush to Michael Richards. "He had everyone laughing for six hours."

Masada said nearly the whole audience lasted the entire performance. "The audience was with him 100 percent," he said.

Chappelle didn't even stop for a bathroom break, Masada said.
