HOLLYWOOD, April 16 (UPI) -- Academy Award nominee Edward Norton is seeing -- make that being -- green as he signed on to play Hollywood's latest adaptation of "The Incredible Hulk."

The film, directed by Louis Leterrier, is expected to rumble into theaters in the summer of 2008, Marvel Studios said in a news release Monday.

The big-screen story unfolds as the pursuit for The Hulk heats up and alter-ego Bruce Banner is trying to cure his condition before he is captured.

Edward Norton has appeared in more than 20 films to date. Among the accolades for his work are two Academy Award nominations, one for best actor in "American History X" and one for his supporting role in "Primal Fear."

Banner has changed into The Hulk on both the big and small screens.

Filming is scheduled to begin this summer in Toronto.
