The festival is not only celebrated in the capital city, but also 22 other regions of Russia, Itar-Tass reported Sunday.

The festival, which is organized for the sixth time by conductor Valery Gergiyev, will feature more than 1,000 musicians from 10 states.

The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexy II is also ministering the Easter vespers at the Savior Cathedral.
