ATLANTA, April 5 (UPI) -- "CNN Headline News" Executive Producer Joel Cheatwood will become vice president of development at Fox News, it was reported Thursday.

Cheatwood will develop programming for Fox News Channel and the soon-to-be-launched Fox Business Channel, Broadcast & Cable reported. He will report jointly to Fox News President Roger Ailes and the heads of programming for the two channels, working closely with the networks' editorial executives.

Known for his "if it bleeds it leads" approach to news, Cheatwood became executive producer of CNN Headline News in 2004.
