Will Smith nervous about daughter dating

LONDON, April 5 (UPI) -- Michael Lyons, a council executive and academician, has been named chairman of the BBC Trust, replacing Michael Grade, who resigned last year.
Lyons, 57, faces several critical decisions when he comes on board, the BBC said Thursday. Among them, final approval of whether to provide BBC shows on demand and whether advertisements should be placed on the international sections of the BBC Web site.
Lyons has been chief executive of Wolverhampton, Nottinghamshire, and Birmingham councils and was professor of public policy at Birmingham University until 2006. He also was chairman of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
