STUDIO CITY, Calif., April 4 (UPI) -- Former stars John Salley of the NBA and Hugh Douglas of the NFL will join comedian Guy Torry on BET's new sports talk show, the Washington-based network said.
"Ballers," the network's first sports talk show, premieres April 20. The weekly, hour-long show will feature the hosts talking sports in a nightclub environment on topics ranging from serious to silly, Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday on its Web site.
"Ballers" is designed to appeal to men and women who may or may not be sports fans, said Reginald Hudlin, BET president of entertainment.
"This really has a much broader appeal than most shows in this category," Hudlin said. "The interaction between these three personalities is unbelievable, and the format is very loose and fun. The nightclub setting really changes the vibe."
The show will tape at Platinum Live in Studio City, Calif.
