Swank eyes producing, starring in remake

HOLLYWOOD, March 30 (UPI) -- Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is developing a remake of "Intimate Strangers" for Hollywood's Paramount Pictures, eyeing starring and producing roles.

Already signed on as producers are Frederic Golchan and Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Variety reported Friday. Kelly Fremon is slated for script-writing.

"Intimate Strangers" is about a woman who believes she is going to visit her new psychiatrist but winds up spilling her secrets to an accountant.

Swank, who picked up Oscars for her portrayals in "Million Dollar Baby" and "Boys Don't Cry," is in the current release "Freedom Writers." She stars in the horror-thriller "The Reaping," with an April 5 release date.
