PROVO, Utah, March 30 (UPI) -- Entertainer Marie Osmond will divorce for a second time, this time after 20 years of marriage to Brian Blosil, the couple disclosed Friday in Provo, Utah.

In a statement released to "The Insider" television show, the couple said they would not discuss why they're divorcing and asked that their privacy and that of their family be respected.

"Our marriage has always been a faithful one and neither of us is assigning fault for the divorce," they said. "Our children, as always, are our top priority and in our deep love for them we will continue to jointly fulfill our roles as active parents in their daily lives."

Osmond and Blosil, a music producer, said they continue to have "a very amicable relationship." The couple have eight children, five who are adopted.

Osmond, 47, whose first marriage to Steve Craig ended after two years in 1985, enjoyed a successful solo singing career that began when she was still an adolescent. She gained the most fame when she teamed with her brother, Donny, for a variety TV show.

She also starred in Broadway musicals and appeared in various TV shows. She started a doll company and has a radio show.
