LONDON, March 28 (UPI) -- A scheduling conflict, not a falling out, apparently kept David and Victoria Beckham away from Elton John's New York 60th birthday bash last weekend.

Turns out Victoria Beckham was committed to a prearranged photo shoot for the paperback cover of her fashion book while her husband was in Bristol, England, to kick off a new soccer Web site, the (London) Daily Mail said Wednesday.

The explanation should end speculation of a fallout between the couple and the pop icon and his partner, David Furnish, the report said.

However, the couple gave people something else to gossip about this week. After winding up their night out with rapper P Diddy, aka Sean Combs, they were doing some serious giggling and appeared a bit wobbly as they left the Automat restaurant and bar in London, the report said. They plopped themselves into their car where the sleepy ex-Spice Girl was said to have sprawled herself around her soccer star husband, who wore a weary half-smile, the newspaper said.
