NEW YORK, March 13 (UPI) -- British expatriate Graham Parker has been on a recording roll the past few years.
He's been releasing at least an album a year since 2001, including the new "Don't Tell Columbus." And Parker, who now lives in New York state's Catskills region, says they seem to be getting better each time out.
"I'm amazed by this record," he says of "Don't Tell Columbus."
"I don't usually drum up my records much, but this isn't just another one. It's pretty hot. The songs are varied, but it all works together as one album, somehow. It's not lightweight."
"Columbus" includes songs such as "the Other Side of the Reservoir" and the politically tinged "Stick to the Plan."
Parker will tour to promote the album this spring, including an appearance Saturday at the South By Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin, Texas.
