JODHPUR, India, March 10 (UPI) -- Journalists skirmished with security hired to keep them out of Jodhpur, India, wedding reception of actress Elizabeth Hurley and businessman Arun Nayar.

The couple got married for the third time Friday, this time according to Hindu tradition in the grand Umaid Bhawan fort, the BBC reported Saturday.

Reporters and photographers blocked the celebrity couple's Bentley as they entered the fort, which prompted security to lock down the structure, the BBC said.

The confrontation got physical at the gates of the fort, where journalists and guards were seen slapping and punching one another, the BBC said.

Some of the journalists stood outside the locked gate for about an hour, demanding an apology from the security company. However, one reporter told the BBC no apologies were offered.

The reception was closed to the media because the newlyweds sold exclusive rights to their photos to Hello magazine, the BBC said.
