LONDON, March 8 (UPI) -- The 7-year-old daughter of actor Johnny Depp is "doing much better" after having been hospitalized in a London facility, Depp's agent said Thursday.

Reports from London newspapers earlier indicated the child, Lily-Rose, was in serious condition. The reason for the hospitalization was not revealed.

"We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better," said the actor's publicist, Robin Baum.

Depp, in Britain to shoot "Sweeney Todd," and his longtime companion Vanessa Paradis were continually at the hospital visiting their daughter since she was admitted nine days ago, Sky News said Thursday.
