Double-decker bus awaits Charles, Camilla

KUWAIT CITY, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- The retired No. 38 Piccadilly Circus Routemaster was spiffed up and gleaming in Kuwait for Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla to climb aboard.

Now obsolete in London, the double-decker bus was rescued and taken to Kuwait in 2005 by Graham Hawkins, principal of the British School in Kuwait, the Telegraph said.

During the royal couple's visit, the bus was parked in front of Sadu House, a cultural center seeking to preserve the Bedouin art of weaving.
