NEW YORK, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell says it's not her fault that people's cruise plans ran aground when she booked the boat for a New York-Bermuda-Bahamas cruise.
"It's not Rosie's fault," O'Donnell's representative Cindi Berger told the New York Daily News. "This happens every time someone charters a cruise but because it's Rosie, people want to make it an issue."
After "The View" co-host booked the entire Norwegian Cruise Line ship for a gay and lesbian family cruise July 7-14, hundreds of people learned Friday they were bumped.
"The company sincerely apologizes for this change and would like to thank its guests for their understanding," the company said in a statement Tuesday.
The company offered passengers a $50 onboard credit and agreed to reschedule them for another cruise.
Carol Farina told the Daily News the cruise was a Sweet 16 celebration for her granddaughter, who has lupus. Members of her family arranged their vacations around the trip.
"I don't blame Rosie O'Donnell," Farina said. "I think it's up to the cruise line."
She said Norwegian officials offered to accommodate her family on a cruise a week later but some relatives might not be able to rearrange their vacations, the newspaper said.
