FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern told a Florida judge that talk of burial "dominated all conversation" after Smith's son died.
Stern's testimony, which began Tuesday morning and resumed in the afternoon, was to provide Broward County Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin information about Smith's burial wishes.
Smith died Feb. 8 in Florida of unknown causes. Smith's son, Daniel, died in September.
When her son died, "Anna was not the same," Stern said, adding, "emotionally she died when Danny died."
Stern said areas near Los Angeles and in the Bahamas were considered for Daniel's resting site.
"She picked out the two double plots side by side that Daniel is currently resting in and where she wanted to be as well," Stern said.
Challenging Stern is Smith's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, who said she wants to bury Smith in her native Texas.
In addition to the Florida hearing, a hearing in California was scheduled on how to conduct paternity testing for Smith's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, ABC News said. Three men -- Stern, California photographer Larry Birkhead and Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt -- all claim paternity.
