LONDON, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- The 2007 Orange Bafta awards ceremony has been held at the Royal Opera House in London, with the royal drama "The Queen" taking the Best Film category.

This year's Bafta awards were not dominated by just one film -- many films were up for five or more categories, the BBC reported Sunday.

"The Queen," which is about the aftermath of Princess Diana's death, was up for 10 awards, and took home two, with Helen Mirren winning for Best Actress.

The newest 007 film, "Casino Royale" was nominated in nine categories, and took home one award in the Sound category.

The foreign fantasy film "Pan's Labyrinth," which was up for eight awards, won for Best Film not in the English Language as well as Costume Design and Hair & Make-up.

Other awards went to "Happy Feet" for the Best Animated Film and Forest Whitaker for Best Actor in a Leading Role for "The Last King of Scotland."

Also, after six years straight of hosting the Baftas, comedian Stephen Fry stepped down and allowed BBC presenter Jonathan Ross to step into the job.

BBC film critic Mark Kermode called this year's award ceremony "a very open field."
