'Cars,' 'Flushed Away' take top Annies

GLENDALE, Calif., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- "Cars" was named best animated feature of 2006, but "Flushed Away" took the most trophies Sunday night at the 34th Annie Awards in Glendale, Calif.

Pixar's "Cars" also won for best music in an animated feature for Randy Newman's score.

DreamWorks' "Flushed Away" took five Annies -- including animated effects, feature character animation, feature production design, feature voice acting (Ian McKellen) and feature writing.

DreamWorks also won three Annies for "Over the Hedge.

Cartoon Network Studios' "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" had a big night, winning for best animated TV production, TV music and TV production design, Daily Variety reported.

The awards were presented by the international animated film society, Asifa-Hollywood.
