NEW YORK, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Celebrities Kim Catrall and Kelly Ripa served as models in the Heart Truth Red Dress fashion show in New York to raise awareness of women and heart disease.

Joining Ripa and Catrall on the fashion runway Friday for the annual benefit were iconic actresses Angela Bassett, Lauren Hutton and Phylicia Rashad, Fashion Wire Daily reported.

On hand to encourage the celebrity models and support the cause on National Wear Red Day was Laura Bush" class="tpstyle">First Lady Laura Bush, the Health Truth campaign's national ambassador.

Yet the high point of the evening was likely the appearance of Women's Tennis Association founder Billie Jean King, who strutted on the runway to the tune of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."

Fashion designers Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Tracy Reese and Donna Karan all offered their wares for the event, that also saw TV host Rachel Ray debut a gown on the runway.
