LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. film actor Ben Affleck was happy to be nominated for a Golden Globe and doesn't mind some early-morning diaper detail, he told People Magazine.
Affleck, who was nominated for his performance in "Hollywoodland," is the father of 1-year-old Violet and married to actress Jennifer Garner. His new film, "Smokin' Aces," opened last week.
Affleck received news of the nomination from Garner, who was up early with baby Violet. "She (woke me up) to tell me I'd been nominated -- and to get me to change the baby," Affleck said in the interview.
Affleck also told People he enjoyed directing little brother Casey, 31, in "Gone, Baby, Gone," because "I could fantasize that if it came down to it I could throttle him."
Affleck said his chain-smoking scenes in "Smokin' Aces" made him "so sick" of smoking and he decided to quit, People reported.
