LAS VEGAS, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Pop star Britney Spears is in Las Vegas to work on her new album in the recording studio at the Palms Casino Resort.

Spears is working with producer Lukasz Gottwald, who has collaborated with Kelly Clarkson, Mos Def, Missy Elliot and Kelis, People magazine said.

Larry Rudolph, Spears' manager, said he expects a single would be released by late summer and the album in late fall.

Spears was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago with her companion Isaac Cohen.
