LONDON, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Rock wannabes have a chance to learn from and jam with some of the world's best known rockers in Britain's inaugural Rock'n'Roll Fantasy Camp.
Camp counselors include a who's who of British rock: Jack Bruce, Cream's bass guitar player; Gary Brooker, Procul Harum's singer and pianist, and Spencer Davis, front man of the Spencer Davis Group, the Times of London said. Organizers said they are in discussions to enlist a member of the Rolling Stones as camp leader.
The cost to eat, jam and socialize with veterans from the British rock scene during the six-day session in May is about $17,800. Activities include a recording session at the Abbey Road studios in London and a performance of Beatle hits at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Instead of the usual camp T-shirt souvenir, Rock'n'Roll Fantasy Camp participants get a leather fantasy camp tour jacket and a DVD of their sessions.
