Michael Arndt, writer of "Sunshine," told Daily Variety he was "delighted" at comedy nominations comprising half the selections. Arndt says comedies can often "present a truer picture of reality" than dramas.

Simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York on February 11 will reveal winners selected by the guild's 13,000 members.
