'Miss Sunshine' gets SAG nominations

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- The indie comedy film "Little Miss Sunshine" scored three major nods for Screen Actors Guild Awards announced Thursday in Los Angeles.

The film grabbed nominations for best picture, best cast and best supporting actor for veteran Alan Arkin and 10-year-old Abigail Breslin, E! Online reported.

Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for film acting awards for both "The Departed" and "Blood Diamond."

Best actress nominations included Helen Mirren for "The Queen" and Meryl Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada."

"Grey's Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives" both received TV nods although "Lost" and up-and-coming "Heroes" were shut out.

The 13th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be presented Sunday, Jan. 28 at the Shrine Exhibition Hall in Los Angeles. Both TBS and TNT will broadcast the ceremony.
