Will Farrell welcomes new son

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Hollywood star Will Ferrell and his wife Viveva Paulin have welcomed their second child together at a hospital in Los Angeles.

Mattias Ferrell has joined his 2-year-old brother Magnus Paulin Ferrell in the family, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.

"All are healthy, happy and otherwise OK," said Ferrell's publicist Matt Labov.

Ferrell and Paulin have been happily married since the year 2000.

The 39-year-old actor started his career as a sketch comedian on "Saturday Night Live" before leaving the show in 2002. He has been featured in the films "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Elf," and more recently "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Stranger Than Fiction."
