HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Simpson's cast member Hank Azaria is in talks to direct the new comedy "Outsourced" for U.S. studio Columbia.

Azaria, who does the voices for characters including Apu and Moe, would make his feature directorial debut, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

Azaria directed the 2004 comedy short "Nobody's Perfect" and has acted recently in "Along Came Polly," television's "Huff," and the stage hit "Spamalot."

"Outsourced" is the tale of two U.S. factory workers who cross into Mexico to apply for their old jobs after their plant was closed and moved to south of the Border.

No casting has been completed for the buddy picture.
