MEMPHIS, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A traveling exhibit featuring the stories of the children's books "The Berenstain Bears" has made a stop at The Children's Museum of Memphis.
The exhibit allows visitors to meet Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister Bear among the famous backdrop of the books, including the tree house, the kids bedroom, the classroom, the playground and the living room, the museum said. The exhibit offers interactive features and role-playing.
The authors of the books, Stan and Jan Berenstain, based the works on experiences they had raising their own children. The first book, published in 1962, spawned a series of books that would teach generations of children simple lessons about community involvement and personal growth, the museum said.
