LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Actor Benjamin King has joined the Fox series "The Wedding Planners," alongside Teri Polo, Sarah Jones and KaDee Strickland.
The show, from David E. Kelley Productions and 20th Century Fox TV, revolves around three sisters who run a family wedding-planning business, said the Hollywood reporter Friday.
King is set to play the chief corporate officer of the wedding company, the businessman who runs the show and is married to one of the sisters.
"The Wedding Planners" is slated to premiere in the spring, with Jon Amiel directing and executive producing the first episode.
Also, Australian actress Rachael Carpani will co-star opposite Janeane Garofalo in Barry Schindel's untitled drama pilot for CBS. The untitled project will follow "the lives, relationships, cases and careers" of a team of public defenders.
Garofalo has been cast as the head of the public defender's office.
