LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Gospel singer Patti LaBelle has canceled her sold out "Gospel According to Patti" tour, claiming breach of contract and failed obligations of the promoter

"I really had hoped to continue to reach the gospel audience. But I have an obligation to my staff to make sure they can keep their plans without last minute changes and to make sure they are paid for the work they do," said LaBelle.

The OneTouch spokeswoman has left fans in Philadelphia, Cleveland, St. Louis and other places disappointed with the news of the show being canceled, TMZ.com reported Wednesday.

LaBelle is in the process of finding another promoter to handle the tour.

The CD that stemmed the first tour attempt, "The Gospel According to Patti LaBelle," is No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel chart.
