The show, which will air on BBC America, focuses on women whose lives are transformed when they marry NFL superstars. The British original version was set in the world of soccer.

Touchstone TV will be producing "Football Wives" along with the original series' producer, Shed Prods, the newspaper said.

Singer has a deal worked out with ABC, under which he may be directing and executive producing another pilot, the Hollywood Report said.
