NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose says the band's highly anticipated "Chinese Democracy" album will likely hit U.S. stores in less than three months.
Rose recently posted a notice on the band's Web site saying March 6 is the tentative launch date for the band's newest musical offering, Billboard.com reported.
The announcement comes after more than a decade of delays for the album's launch and was accompanied with a statement revealing the rock band had parted ways with its manager Merck Mercuriadis.
"To say the making of this album has been an unbearably long and incomprehensible journey would be an understatement," the posting said. "Overcoming the endless and seemingly insane amount of obstacles faced by all involved, notwithstanding the emotional challenges endured by everyone -- the fans, the band, our road crew and business team -- has at many times seemed like a bad dream in which one wakes up only to find that they are still in the nightmare."
Billboard.com said the band has canceled four U.S. performances scheduled for January to help prepare for the launch of its first album since 1993's "The Spaghetti Incident."
