WINDHOEK, Namibia, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Hollywood is trying to expand film locations, and directors are trekking out to such exotic places as the African desert nation of Namibia.
The Washington Post reported Hollywood film productions have sprouted up in various African locales recently, including the ongoing filming of "GallowWalker" in the vast desert of Namibia.
Officials behind the upcoming zombie film admit they chose Namibia for its amazing beauty.
"It's fantastic! Just look! It's beautiful!" the film's photography director, Henner Hofmann, said. "Namibia offers that clean air and extreme distance in the view because pollution is almost nothing."
"GallowWalker" stars Wesley Snipes.
