NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- British rocker Mick Jagger is set to appear in the premiere episode of "Knights of Prosperity" but isn't expected to be in the sitcom's future installments.
While the Rolling Stones front man is a key aspect of the ABC sitcom's plot and is featured in its premiere, the New York Daily News reported that Jagger will likely not appear in future episodes.
"Knights" focuses on a group of amateur burglars who decide to rob an incredibly rich celebrity, played by Jagger, to help change their lives.
Donal Logue, who plays the series' lead Eugene Gurkin, confessed that the 63-year-old rocker's prompt exit will likely allow the show's cast to rightfully claim the spotlight.
"It's a total blessing, ultimately," Logue admitted, "and there was one minor drawback, which is if we got someone so famous it would be the thing that people would focus on but that's completely fine because once the show is (on) everybody will get a sense of who it's about, which is this group, and not even just Eugene Gurkin. It's such an ensemble show."
The paper said that Jagger could potentially be edited into the 12 additional episodes already filmed for the series.
