LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- A clash of similar sounding names may lead to legal action by songstress Mariah Carey.

Digitalspy.co.uk revealed that Mariah's legal eagles were approaching X-rated Mary Carey, who once ran for governor of California and is now seeking to trademark her name.

The Web site said Mary Carey's camp was confused and somewhat bemused with the fuss, but the equally sultry but still far-more demure Mariah doesn't want fans mixing the two up.
