'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Rocker Courtney Love was given an early release from her probation after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge found that she had completed drug rehabilitation.
Love, who was accompanied by manager Peter Asher and her lawyer, Howard Weitzman, wept with joy over Judge Rand Rubin's decision, E! Online reported Tuesday.
"Thank you for not taking me into custody," Love told Rubin. "Thank you for giving me an opportunity. You've been a good, fair judge. Sorry for crying."
Rubin dismissal of the cases ended Love's drug-related probation a month early and ended her assault-related probation more than a year early.
"Early on in this case, Ms. Love, I think you came very close to coming into custody," Rubin said. "I think you've done very well. You've shown to me you are interested in a much less destructive lifestyle."
