LONDON, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The family of Mark Blanco is criticizing singer Pete Doherty for not having helped their son as he lay bleeding to death in a London street.
Blanco's mother and sister accused the Babyshambles front man of leaving Blanco bleeding outside a London apartment this weekend, where Blanco had fallen from an upper floor to his death, The Independent reported.
The family has called for a full police investigation into Blanco's fall from the second-story apartment. Initial police reports had Blanco starting a fight at a party before falling out the window.
Blanco's mother and sister claim that Blanco -- who passed into a coma before dying -- was not only a pacifist but also suffered from extreme vertigo.
"We're still in shock, it feels surreal," Blanco's sister, Emma, told the paper. "We're finding it very difficult to do any grieving as we're so busy trying to find out the truth. We want to know what happened that night. This is not about us assigning blame on a pseudo-celebrity. We just want the truth."
