LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- The animated crack on the current government, "Lil' Bush: Resident of the United States," will become an animated series on Comedy Central in 2007.
The "Muppet Babies"-styled show was originally conceived for the mobile phone platform, Zap2it.com reported.
"'Lil' Bush' is one of the most innovative projects we've seen and a welcome addition to Comedy Central's line-up," said the network's Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development Lauren Corrao. "We are thrilled to partner with Amp'd Mobile on this exciting venture the first television series to be born out of an original mobile presentation."
Comedy Centrals new show revolves around Lil' George and his Lil' White House pals including Lil' Condi, Lil' Rummy and the foulmouthed wisecracker, Lil' Cheney. They are likened to the Lil' Rascals with access to the atomic bomb. They also square off with their enemies, including Lil' Kim Jong II and Lil' Saddam Hussein.
