BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Rapper-actor Snoop Dog faces new charges Wednesday following his arrest after a taping of "The Tonight Show" in Burbank, Calif.
Snoop, born Calvin Broadus, was charged following a police search with felony possession of a firearm, drug possession and having a false compartment in his vehicle.
Bail was set at $60,000.
Broadus was detained last month at Burbank's Bob Hope Airport on suspicion of felony possession of a firearm and transporting marijuana.
The Los Angeles Times says the celebrity also faces other charges for possession of a deadly weapon -- a collapsible police baton found in his computer bag. Those charges stem from events in September as Broadus prepared to board a plane at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
Snoop Dog's new album, titled "The Blue Carpet Treatment," was released this month.
