LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Actress Anna Faris, who starred in the "Scary Movie" series, is set to play the lead role in the new film "Frequently Asked Questions about Time Travel."

The flick revolves around three unpopular guys in a British pub, played by British actors Chris O'Dowd, Marc Wootan and Dean Lennox Kelly, who somehow get tangled up in a time travel adventure with a woman from the future, ignfilmforce.com reported Wednesday.

The Sci-fi comedy is set to begin production next week and will be distributed by BBC Films and HBO.

Faris will next be seen on the big screen opposite Jon Heder in the comedy "Mama's Boy," and may be reprising her role as Cindy Campbell in a fifth "Scary Movie" in 2008.
